Customer (David Williams) 05/02/2007 03:04 PM

The Windows Mobile 6 platform (otherwise known as Crossbow ) is a completely different platform. The 6700 will not support this, as the entire carrier specifications and customization was based on the Windows Mobile 2005 (MAGNETO) platform.

WTF, now I will have to buy another phone

I had 3.5.8 and I was having the following problems:

IDTransfer would not load up and calls were not going to my bluetooth

Sound profiles stopped working after 3.5.6. The meeting profile used to switch the ring to vibrate, but after 3.5.6 and 3.5.7 this stopped working.

I lost the MMS picture mail functionality. I'm almost positive it's supposed to be in this rom.

I have switched back to the latest official sprint rom.

only thing i really miss in the 3.5.8 ROM is the voice dial function.........

I have loaded aku 3.5. I can't compile it so I used the Colonials for Verizon. All sorts of little things have happened.
1. Bugme alarms don't sound.
2. Pocket Informant doesn't show any contacts and I have
.......gone back to 2.2
.......used pimbackup to save the files
.......flashed up to 3.5
.......used pimbackup to reload pim.

Contacts are fine in basic contacts window when I kill PI

SPB Diary duplicates many entries for days after they should be.

Is there a good notes program with alarms that does work???

Is there a better calendar program than the basic one, that works.

Do you have other suggestions for a struggler like me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help the cause. I love the new ROM and hope I won't have to give up too much to enjoy it.

Is anyone willing to submit a list of useful applications that do work with the new ROM.

How can I get a password to the Colonials FTP. I would like to flash 3.5.8 but don't know how to find it.

Thanks,

Graeme Frazier

Colonel... Im new to this and learning as I go along but you may want to try using Toshibas BT stack for the process.. It is much better than widcom and its seemingly compatible with all BT components.. As I said earlier, Im new to this and will try building my own Custom Rom next week.. Im one of the view that like and used both the MSN and Voice Dial features of the phone.. Since you are already a pro at this, could you also put in a registry editor in your next ROM update.. When I learn how to put all this crap into a ROM, I will post it for your review..

You guys are doing a great job here and we are all thankful that people like you exist, they are our phones and they should do what we want them too...lol...

Colonel, I am new to the forum and just installed your 3.5 Sprint Final. I had trouble at first apparently none of these installers works with Vista.. but I loaded it from an XP machine with no worries. Just want to say thanks to you and this forum, I feel like I got a new phone! I am still learning everything it can do. It seems pretty stable to me, I have only had a few small freezes so far.

What can you install in the Extended Rom? And is there a reason why shouldn't i put anything in there?
