GPS Option missing in AKU 3.5

After having great fun and success with the 3.3 roms, I made the jump to 3.5 on my VX6700. Everything seems to be just find except one small detail.

Even though my Pharoh Bluetooth GPS device pairs and connects with my phone, GPS apps such as Windows Live Search no longer even have a GPS option. This all worked fine in 3.3.

Any ideas?

p.s. Thanks to all who have made 3.3 and 3.5 a reality on the Apaches!

I cooked my own ROM with Live Search built into it and GPS function is there unter Menu>Settings

For Google Maps to work, you will need to enable the GPS Settings Icon in Settings and asign a comm port.

Thank you for the reply. GPS Settings is missing too. I'm flashing with IMCOKEMAN's 3.5 v 3 right now and I'll try it again. I"ll post with results.

It is functioning in my 3.5. It was probably just not enabled. I can't remember the reg entry off the top of my head.

Ok, I just got done loading IMCOKEMAN's 3.5 v3 rom. Still no GPS Icon under settings and thus no GPS option in LIVE Search. I'm sure its just a registry setting. If anyone knows which setting, I'll sneak in there and try it out.

Colonal... I looked on the FTP site for your latest 3.5 kitchen and didn't see it. I'd be happy to try yours...

Thanks again for any help.

Here is the fix:

HKLM\Controlpanel\GPS Settings
Add value "Group" (dWord)
Value "2" (show) Delete "redirect" and "hide" completely (if its there)
to rehide enter value "1" (hide)

Thank you all!

Have a great weekend and keep up the great work!
