having problems with the wm6 by helmi c
 

when i get a text message it doesn't show me from who it shows me the first word the person text me and i can't tell who its from anyone else having this problem or know of a way to fix it please help

I have had the same problem. After reading the other threads the basic response is we needed to reset before allowing the customization done by the carrier to be started. So basically here's what you need to do:

1) Backup everything you want to keep.
2) Do a hard reset
3) Restore factory settings Y
4) When it starts trying to customize from the providers side.. Soft RESET
5) Restore your backup
6) Try it out & it should work.

I gotta do it too.. lol

im having the same problem but im still on wm5 has this solution worked for anyone yet?? and if it does im still kinda new to this so how do i do all the stuff listed above??

I did it yesterday on Helmi's WM 6 and it worked fine for me, not sure about WM 5

Perform a Hard Reset by pressing the two soft keys, which are the buttons on the left above the talk button and the button on the right above the end buton, and while holding them down use your stylus to push the restart button on the bottom of the device.

i did that and it worked but i cant sync my contacts though?

ok i got it, had to delete partnership a couple times and play with it but i got it now.
