Gamals,

As per the instruction provided by Saridnour you need to stop Wisbar Lite prior to installing the patch or it will fail. To stop WisBarlite use your stylus up top on the right hand side and press it and hold. A menu will show and Quit will be an option. The way you can confirm that it is off is the little 3 pixel line at the top will disappear.

The other alternative if you want is to move the wisbarlite.lnk file from /windows/startup temporarily somewhere else, soft reset (not hard) and it will not load, then install the patch. I use wisbar advanced 2 so I disable wisbar lite all together.

I don't use the Wisbar Desktop because it is very unstable and a huge resource hog, a better alternative (limited with landscape with this release) is rlToday.

Has anyone heard when PR6 will be released? I've been checking the FTP everyday while the site was down hoping he would still release it but haven't seen it. Whoever would've thought flashing my phone would become addictive?

Two Problems:

1. Anyone been noticing a decrease in performance/accuracy for VC 1.6 with the PR5 SP1 install? I've been using it for about a week and notice that it doesn't pick-up my confirmations for contact or digit dialing very well.

2. Has anyone experienced issues moving the 'my docs' to SD? No problem doing it, but I'm getting freezing now.

I don't have a pile of 3rd part appz installed and have lot's of memory free on both sides.

HEY, good news.

remember that goodlink stuff? it works.. i guess i just assumed other peoples with goodlink and aku 3.5 were universal and didnt do any troubleshooting for myself..

hard reset, reinstalled sp5, hard reset, installed gl before anything else, after 1st sync.

its going... now for sp1, i hadnt tried that before.. now that this is going im going to set this thing up to do more than just hold me over til the ppc6800.

maybe even iphone skin?

Van G,

I noticed similar freezing until I realized that the storage card (SD) sleep hack for the power mgmt wasn't corrected within this ROM build. If you are going to put items in the SD that may be open when it goes to sleep the unit will have many DSOD I have noticed. This is a specific ROM issue but how Winblows Mobile functions, it just gets stupid.

If there is a better solution I am open to hear but this was the only way I was able to keep ring tones, and attachments on my SD with any stability.

VC I have noticed similar things until I noticed that my time was correct since DST but my calendar was off by an hour. I am still trying to figure out the solution to it.

Because of DST my VC would only announce an hour late.

Schwos,

Do have any links to more detail on the SD sleep issue (and/or a better description of your fix)? I've got the issue and would like to find some form of corrective action.

Thanks in advance

Schwos, I don't have any files on SD that would be called during sleep, but I do have issues with simply having 'my docs' on SD. What process did you take to put docs on SD -> just the single reg edit and folder creation?

My VC works pretty good, except when it is waiting for a confirmation. It misses my verification more often than not. This is new!
