My MiniSD card is still disappearing and causing DSODs in the 3.5 roms. Why would this be?

your still need to do the rename of the qct.dll, rilphone.dll, and sdmemory.dll files. i imagine you still have the sprint files loading off the ext_rom. when one of the cabs installs, it overwrites those three files with older versions, renaming + soft reset will bring back the newer rom versions.

I have been deleting the qct and sdmem files and then the updated ones appeared, but never knew about the rilphone one. Why should I simply rename them instead of deleting them?

What should I rename them to?

Running 3.5 revision 1.1 here on a Sprint 6700. Everything is back up and running great after a hard reset from 3.3 and cleanly reinstalling everything. However, I cannot seem to get the ## codes working from the dialer, and PPST.EXE just turns off the radio but does not enter the reprogramming screen. Anyone have a fix for this yet? I ran the custom file from the Sprint Ext rom again, no dice, nor did a soft reset do the job.

If you're using a dial pad skin then that is the problem. If uninstalling it doesn't fix it you might have to hard reset.

Newbie problems

I have a Sprint PPC-6700. I am sorry for my ignorance but I seem to be having some problems with the 3.5 kitchen. I am not really sure what I need to do to upgrade my phone. I unpacked the rar file and read the readme.txt and tried to follow the directions but had some problems. I am using Windows XP Pro and tried to run the CreateOS.exe and it crashed. Do I need to make a baseline rom from the kitchen? What exactly am I supposed to do from the point of unpacking the rar? I cannot seem to find this information. HELP, I am a newbie!
