I notice there is a kitchen 3.5 r.1.1 on the ftp. I haven't seen a post about it. Anybody know what the difference is to r1????

fixes noted:

1. the .prj file was corrected.
2. the link to ppcgeeks now uses the wap version.

Thats about it. Many had problems because the .prj file was wrong so ImCokeMan patched that, and I whined about getting the web page from the favorites page.. Thats all that was "fixed".

I actually fixed the link for ppc geeks to the wap version myself before cooking with r1 (I saw your post early this morning). When you refer to the .prj file, are you refering to the file used for encode/decode? If so, I guess I don't need this r1.1, since I had no problem cooking, correct?

finster,
If you were able to get the rom working and you already fixed the favorites there is no need for you to get 1.1. They were very minor changes and it looks like you took care of it already. I don't plan to do much to this baseline rom, but I thought those 2 ideas were good for it. I really liked the idea for using .\nk.nbf to reference the file in the .prj!

Ok, spent a bit of time getting ready to cook up my 3.5

My work is your gain - after testing, I'll be releasing these OEMs (all freeware, that I happen to use )

AlarmClock
AM Tasks+ Today Plugin
BTAudioToday
DefaultUnhideExtendedRom
InClose
MohairSoft Calendar+ Today Plugin
Seigleman's Launcher

I should get it cooked today, will run with it and make sure it works, and then upload the OEMs by the weekend.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Alwaysbelieve1,
The USB activesync sometimes has issues from the PC side, so you might want to look around on the forum for other fixes for that before thinking it's 3.5. As for the power look for the IR beam settings too.

Jamesus,
You are almost there, I think you are at the last step in the readme.txt. Try a hard reset. If it works you will have to hit Y to erase and space to reboot

cwest,
That's the wiki link with the instructions, you need to click the link that starts with "ftp"

schettj,
Great work! I'm definitely looking forward to a few more good OEMs

ROM request

Was wondering if anyone would be willing to cook a bare bones ROM using this kitchen, namely one that included CF2 and some of the Crossbow themes etc. A lot of the 3rd party apps are unnecessary IMO, esp. with paid software like SPB PP and Diary. The concept of cooking a ROM still eludes me, and I'd hate to screw it up. Thanx,

-R
