Re: enable bluetooth programmatically

How about just going to your Wireless Manager and turning BT on. If you dont wanna go through the menus to get to it then the easiet way is to press and hold the IE button and it will take you there directly.

Although I am sure this didnt answer your question because you likely have some unique issue, it would help if you told us exactly what it is you are trying to do and what exactly you want to do.

And if you want to get even easier then this might do the job 8)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...hlight=effcomm

This will put a Bluethooth/Wifi/Phone "One Touch" ON/OFF access on the today screen with min today screen usage.

UZ, I see we are both using Kirvin C&S 3.5 and I know I do, but dont you have direct access to the wireless manager on your today screen by default?

Weed, if I am thinking on what you are talking about yep...but you need to tap the direct access on the today to access wireless manager then turn on BT or Wifi..etc., with the plugin..I just tap what I want on/off right off the today..lol....believe me Kirvin C&S is what I am happy with...I have tried 6/6.1 but there is just something about the C&S that I keep staying with...if you know what I mean..lol..and I think you do. 8)

Re: enable bluetooth programmatically

what I'm trying to do is this:

create a loader program to activate the bluetooth and load any given program.

once the program quits, deactivate the bluetooth.

I can run commands, scripts, reg edits, you name it through code. Just gotta find someone who knows how to do this trick so I can code it.

Ok.. I found it.

Here's the reward for everyone:

------] Program

BT-Toggle.exe

requirements: .NET compact blah blah you know the drill

------] Usage

BT-Toggle run without arguments toggles bluetooth radio on/off

BT-Toggle run WITH arguments will run a desired app and do:
1. turn on bluetooth
2. run app
3. wait for app to end
4. restore previous bluetooth radio status (if it was off, return off, if on, return on)

------] example

use resco or similar to create shortcuts with arguments

"\BT-Toggle.exe" \Windows\camera.exe

as the shortcut will turn on bluetooth, load the camera, and once camera is closed, restore bluetooth state to previous condition.

--------

tested on 6700 wm6.1

Copy

edit: added ability to add arguments to the program to run
