OK...

I move a copy of the voicecmd.exe file to the Windows file
I tested the file and it works when you tap it on the screen.
I am going to reset the phone and see what happens.

I am running Kirwin's clean and simple 3.5 which has removed the Cyberon voice dialer. There is no "VoiceCommand" folder under HKLM\Software\OEM\. There is a "VoiceCommand" folder under HKLM\Software\Microsoft.

Should I add "Path" under the Microsoft Vocie Command folder, or create a VoiceCommand and a Path folder under OEM?

Create it in the proper place (under OEM).

hey hey it worked! i'm running kirvin's rom too, and i had to create the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand directory, and then i put that "Path" entry in there and left it blank. button 5 now works for regular press & the press & hold! thanks!
