USB port broken - Need to tranfer contacts.
My usb port on the 6700 is loose. It is hard to get it to charge, and my pc won't recognize it. I got Asurion to replace it (hoping to get a 6800, but no luck).
Anyway, I need to update the contacts on my pc so when I get my new 6700 up and running, I will have all my old contacts. My pc is somewhat out of date because I rarely sync. is there a way to do this via bluetooth or SD card or wifi? Thanks for the help, Thrilsekr |
Re: USB port broken - Need to tranfer contacts.
If they are Outlook contacts, you can do it via Bluetooth and Activesync 4.5 (XP) or WMDC/Sync Center (Vista). If they are in the PIM.vol file, you can save that by BT to your BT PC, too. You could probably attach the file and send it to yourself by email. This software can back up the PIM to miniSD:

You could also try Dashwire. It syncs all of your content so that when you go to set up your new phone, all you have to do is install Dashwire and sync with your account. All of your contacts/photos/videos/call log/etc installed with little to no effort.

You could even use Yahoo Go or Windows Live to back them up online (via a Sync)...

Re: USB port broken - Need to tranfer contacts.
I will give this PIMbackup a try. Now the problem is just keeping it powered up long enough to run the program. I will charge the battery in the cradle and give it a try later when the battery is charged. Thanks for the help...
