problem with saving pictures on mem card
 

6700 is the phone with WM5

trying to set it to save pictures to the mem card, it will let me select it, but when I take a pic, it says there's not enough memory?

I have a 4gb card with about 3gb free


any ideas?

do i need a special folder on the card for them to save to?

i had an issue just like that, I copied all my data off and formatted the card and never had the issue again.

hmmm dam, ok i'll have to try that then, format the card in the phone?

will any of my programs be affected that I have installed in there?

not unless they are installed on the card. remember everything will be wiped off the card when you do a format so make sure you copy all your music, pics, vids and ect off first. the cards format should be FAT(16)

yea I know it will erase everything, was planning on putting it in my usb adapter....copying everything of, formatting it, then copy back on


I do have a couple programs like my AIM program and such installed on the card

you can try copying them off and placing them back and I assume they would work as long as the directory paths are the same. But IDK for certain. Let us know how it works out.

yea gonna try that this week when I have some time, maybe today if i get around to it

There is an issue with the camera app and cards with more than 2gb free space. If you fill the card to have less than 2 gb free, you'll probably find that it works again.

well dam that could be it, I have 3gb free....maybe i'll try that first
