Getting around the Windows password prompt
Howdy ya'll,
I just purchased another 6700 off of Ebay and when I powered it up for the first time, it prompted for a password. I have no clue what it is. I've messaged the seller, but haven't gotten a reply yet. I want to avoid hard resetting, so if you guys have any ideas on how to get past the prompt (keygen/crack) I'd appreciate it. Thank you in advance. |
Re: Getting around the Windows password prompt
Why not hard reset anyway. Unless you want all the other guys info. I would upgrade the rom to wm6.1 or at least wm6 anyway.
Im not sure if you would need the password in order to explore the 6700 through active sync. If not you would be able to get whatever you want off of it before the upgrade or hard reset. Perhaps transfer the cabs that were installed on the device for use later. |
Re: Getting around the Windows password prompt
The only way is to hard reset or wait for the seller to respond. WM6 is nice and all but not for everyone.
