cant install wm6 on my 6700

So i downloaded the zip file containing the .exe and it says before starting to set phone into bootloader mode but when i try it either does a soft reset from the soft reset button, or the back goes off from holding the power button, or the recorder comes on from holding that side key down. I know im supose to hold all three together but its not working. can anyone help walk me through the set i really would like this upgrade.

You'll get it. Its kinda like hard resets. It takes a little time to get it. But I assure you that it does go into bootloader mode. I gotta press them and hold them for a quick second.

If you think it goes "black" on you, look very, very carefully and put some more light on it. You will see some lettering. USB and the bootloader version. Don't ask me why they made it so hard to read. I missed it the first time, too.

No, don't plug in USB. The display has USB and bootloader versiion in letters but very hard to read 'cuz it's like charcoal grey lettering on a black background. So you could have been in bootloader mode and thought that the backlight was off 'cuz you pushed the power off. Just press the three buttons simultaneously and if it looks "black" look very carefully for the lettering.

I found for me that if i hold down the two buttons and pressed the reset button but continue to hold the 2 buttons worked well for me

I held in the two buttons and then pressed the reset button, holding them all down until the bootloader screen came up.
