Help!! My apache is almost dead!!
 

Okay, so the other day like I was wiping off my apache's screen with some glasses cleaner like normal. Somehow it leaked into the screen and caused the screen to get messed up.

Anyway after blow drying it and letting it air dry it has some function back. I can see the screen. However, the battery has gotten progressively worse and now has no charge. The battery wasn't even affected by the 5 drop lets of water...I plug in my Apache to the wall with the charger and the thing just keeps resetting...It resets about every 1 minute. It always says it has low battery and just shuts off..

help!!!

go file insurance claim and get a new one, serious though, what do you expect anyone to really say. You yourself deep down inside know what you need to do

since when has ur t-shirt became not a good way to wipe off ur apaches screen anyways. c'mon now bro..... glass cleaner??? we are smarter than that. u were dancing with the devil practically everytime u did that until u finally got burned. that jus wasnt a very good idea. besides all that.... why even put that much effort into cleanin the screen when its only going to look the same way as soon as u touch it or press ur face up against it, and then it comes out looking exactly the way it just did anyways lol. aw c'mon man.... lol. do an insurrance claim and next time, please stick with a cleaning cloth or the bottom end of ur shirt........ please.

ya thats why i pay 7.00 amonth so if i opps with it around water it gets replaced i have in the past and other preson's i know seen phone go in the water lol but some work and some dont lol like the a900 phone of my gf that was drunk and dropped in are toilet one night and didnt know where it was the next day till the toilet stop flushing right lol guess who had to get it ? you have to unbolt from floor to get it lol and it didnt work no more and no ins she had to pay to replace it but my old phone went throught the washer and lived lol but it took three days to dry out lol

Oh darn. Well whatever. Mogul sounds like a good idea. I had so many problems with that 6700 anyway

Why couldn't the battery have shorted out? Do you have an extra to try? I think they are only 10 bucks or so. I'm sure these things can take a little abuse, can't they??? I'd try a little more to resuscitate the poor guy than pronounce it DOA.:protest: But if you have the insurance, go for it! :mrgreen:

Next time if your going to do that, NEVER spray liquid DIRECTLY on the screen. Spray on a piece of soft lint free cloth then wipe it..........](*,)

well it actually works now.... The screen is pretty much perfect....and so is the battery. I guess it was just messed up for a few days...WHatever...I guess I can't complain!
