I haven't tried it, but if you go to the ftp apache/kitchen/helmi, he has an OEM in there for it.

Trial and error - try building an OEM, build the rom with it, flash, test - if the app complains about something missing when launched, that's usually a sign. After you get the error, manually copy all the app files to \\Program Files\App (where app is the dirname it makes when installed via CAB) and relaunch it - if it works then you know it's hardcoded.

Looking for a Kitchen OEM for Opera. Anyone working on one yet?

Anyone got the Colonels abcPower OEM or the weather panel OEM to work? I can't compile either of them. With either in the OEM folder I get compile errors and when I remove them the rom builds with no problems.

Try adding a blank line at the end of the weatherpanel rgu. Make sure to save as unicode as well. The other one looks like it has a blank rgu which either was supposed to be a placeholder for some entries or the rgu can be removed.

Other then that, both looked ok adding into the images for me, although I did not go all the way to flashing it so who knows.

hmm... as far as I know profesional app should not/never make their app hardcode (except \Windows dll base) if so? what if we install it to Storage Card? the app will not work then, and that makes the app seems un-profesional dont u think?...

maybe the problem is registry value for it dependency or something like that....?

I am having nothing but problems getting the initflashfiles.txt to copy my shortcuts to the programs folder.

It is in unicode format, but can't seem to get it working reliably.

Only ones I have gotten to copy are when name the folder, the shortcut, and the exe as the same exact name and with no spaces.

What could I be doing wrong?

for example initflashfiles.txt contain:

; ===== Running Programs =====
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu"):-File("Running Programs.lnk","\Windows\RunningPrograms.lnk")
;

the red line is exactly what the file name on ur OEM folder, if the original file is with space, then rename it without space for make it simple, the yellow one is free, u can name it anything u like... and make sure hv at least 1 free line at the end of the initflashfiles.txt

btw I've seen some of the oem pack on the ftp doesn't hv 1 line free at the end of the file. it will append/mix with the previous line by other OEM pack and that will make it not work.

does anyone try the MMS3.5.0.16 client and Streaming Player on apache yet?

I've looked - but then these are two apps that must be internal and/or are Sprint extended_rom addons - inclose and the epst.exe thing. Beyond those I've had no problems (and yes, well written apps that can install to storage card seem to work fine, even if they use many dlls.)
