Currently that test file appears to have caused the same problem for another user. I started a thread to track the radio rom problems:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/verizon-radi...ems-t2724.html Please try to work there for this issue. Unfortunately i don't have too much time here to look at it now, but i'll try to get a little info into the thread to get it started. |

1. What is so special about the 3.5 that the 3.3 doesn't have?
2. How does one go about syncing via the BT patch I read about somewhere? 3. If I install this will my radio not work? Thank you for your time.

2) I don't have bluetooth on my PC, but it should be the same with 3.5 as with any other rom. If you can get it to work on another rom then you can expect it to work on this one. I assume it would involve putting it in discovery mode and pairing the device then selecting that connection in activesync (anyone who as done this can give better details though) 3) Yes the radio will still work. There are no radio roms included at all. That problem was a seperate file which has now been removed from the FTP |

I'm giving this a shot now, sounds like a great idea. I was trying to get this to work using the HT64 tool and a specialized .prj file, but the outcome was not successful. Thanks for the suggestion sfaure03, this should do just what i was hoping for.
Edit: I can confirm that this worked as expected! I now have the UTStarcom splash screen so it can be carrier independent =) |

Can't get the ROM upgrader to work...
I'm pretty new at this, so I fully expect to be told to RTFM or some such...
However, I'm following all of the directions in the readme.txt included in imcoke's 3.5 kitchen, and I cannot seem to get it working. The flash utility seems to find my phone, but displays "mcokeman" for the new version, with all other fields blank. If I then continue anyhow, seconds after the progress bar appears the bootloader screen disappears from my device! I'm not through a USB hub, and I'm using WinXP and activesync 4.2, so I should be cool, right? Is there something I'm missing? Do I just need to let the screen sit blank for a couple more eons? I gave it about 10 minutes and there was no activity on the device or on the progress meter... Thanks! |

Hmmm...it should take 10 min to flash.
It is perfectly normal when u click next and it said some'n like "ImKokeMan" as for ROM version and the rest are blank. But as far as the bootloader screen disappears all the sudden, that's something new I haven't heard of. Is the progress bar moving along in your PC or just stuck at one point? |
