Moved to Poland... HOW do I use my PPC6700 here?!

I am totally new at this and seems all the sim lock store I have gone to aren't interested in helping me. My friend has a UK version of this phone so I know it can be unlocked. PLEASE help me on how to unlock and use my sim card from Heyah (pre-paid co.) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand I have no idea what I am doing.

Thanks SO much for any help.

Are there any CDMA providers in Poland? I don't think so. Your 6700 wont work as a phone there. Pick up a GSM similar unit like an 8525.

Under the battery is a small place that looks as if my sim card would fit. It's grooved out in the shape of the card but it doens't lock in. Like I said, I am 100% new to this unlocking business and would like to avoid buying another phone.

BigMat, any other genuis comments you liked to make or do you have any actual help to offer?

Re: Moved to Poland... HOW do I use my PPC6700 here?!

I was serious in my post above. I do not think there is any CDMA coverage in Poland. One of the guys on my team is in Warsaw right now - His blackberry (a T-Mobile 8100) works, but its GSM/EDGE. That spot under the battery is for an RUIM card. If you're really good with solder, you could install a connector for one, but it would not help.

I was also serious about the 8525, but there are plenty of other choices. Ebay is your friend.

There is no UK version of the Apache. They must have one of the similar HTC phones, like the 8125 (MDA) or 8525 (Tytn).

Well, thanks. I guess I am stuck with my garbage razor a friend gave me. I understand why he gave it to me. Piece of crap. Anyway, I'll keep saving for my iPhone. Thank you all for your help!

I located in Ukraine now. My Sprint PPC 6700 just fine unlocked and working fine on local CDMA carrier. Thats why I think that your PPC will work in Poland.
