Help Desperately Needed

I recently had an accident where I fell down and I beleive that I broke my PPC 6700. The Screen is totally black except a purplish blot on the upper right corner of the screen and I beleive I can see a hair line crack underneath the main screen. I tried a soft and Hard reset with no changes. The question I have is how do I reset the phone to original settings without the phone working? I can't turn the phone into Sprint like it's currently configured due to all of the "additional add-ons" provided by this great site! What should I do?

if you can still get a activesync connection...no big deal..just d/l the official wm5 sprint rom EXE file and run it from the pc...it will load up via activesync even if you dont know what is going on..just follow the prompts on the pc ....you will be fine.

The other thing to consider is this. It has been my experience that if you navigate this site and are flashing your ROM then you are usually smarter that the people that work for the carrier. If you can see the changes to the phone because of a broken screen, odds are they won't be able to tell either.

Good Looking out gentlemen! I was able to sync and use the original Sprint rom. The question now arises, if I have a pick of phones- what do I get? I have been fond of my 6700, but it may not be replaced. Would any of you hackers/lab doctors who provide great support, such as Helmi, exchange for a 6800 or a Touch? I know the 6700 is on it's last leg, but it has been a great phone. I still have not seen any or heard of any great stuff for the 6800 (Rev A available?) yet or the Touch for that matter. The 6700 and the people here who support it, has been steady fighting off the need to upgrade.

More then likely get a 68 if the offer is there, I really dont think you will be able to get a Touch. If you have noticed the 68 forum is just about even with the 67 little by little...they have upgrades..etc just like the 67...you can only hold on to the 67 for so long and we are getting to a point to start letting go if the upgrade is offered.

They offered me a Touch due to the fact that they had no Moguls in stock. I told the rep I would think on it or wait approx. 2 weeks for a Mogul. Is there a list of programs that were a part of Helmi's latest Kitchen, such as Music ID and the Video Sites, link to name a few, that Iwant on my replacement phone

wow...a Touch..ur are lucky, but to each is there own, I like or must have built in wifi and a real keyboard, GPS is a plus....and the 68 offers that so I would lean toward the 68 if I had a to choose.

I would d/l the kitchen and check out the list that is available

I currently do not Text very often, but I do like the Rev A possibilty, GPS is obvious a need for the future and the Wifi. I heard that the Touch is a more robust unit, due to having more memory. So if you were me and you mainly use the phone for Streaming XM or Slingbox, internet surfing and obviously the phone function, you would go for the Touch over Mogul? There seems to be some uncertaintly as to the future of the Touch in regards to Sprint and their vision for the phone, like if they will get Rev A.

If that is the case then the Touch is the way to go....but one thing that turned me off about the Touch big time was that it did not have builtin Wifi, but you can buy a wifi card for wifi. or just always stream on evdo.
