Where to buy accessories for PPC-6700?

I just got a PPC-6700, upgraded to WM6.1/linux, and I'm LOVING it. Thank you to everyone on the forums that has worked so hard on getting these things accomplished. I do however need an Apache stylus and a new battery (mine's getting old). Anyone know of good sites to buy these things? Ebay is alright, but paying $6 for shipping per item when you buy a bunch of items ads up fast, especially when you're just getting a stupid stylus. Thanks for the space.

Here are 3 stylus for $5 - link

Here is an OEM battery for $12 - link

So thats $17 for 3 stylus and a new OEM battery. How much more cheap are you trying to get?

true that, weedahoe, but i found on ebay too lots of the people that sell the accessories have "stores" and if you go to the sellers store and find the other items that you want too, they do combined shipping. so i guess what it boils down to is whats cheaper? $6 shipping or the gas to get somewhere? hmmmmmmmm, out here in the boonies where i live, shipping almost ALWAYS comes out cheaper! and a lot of the ebayers have combined items too. i got 3 stylists, an extra wall charger, a car charger, an a battery for $12 with $5 shipping and handleing. but then again, i'm an ebay fanatic! (its also where i got my 6700!!)

Im with you on that one, not everything is cheaper on ebay. You do have to be knowledgable in the cost of things. I do buy almost everything online (mostly from ebay) because it is always cheaper than locally but ebay has so much corruption now and so many non-payers. I sold my iPhone there and they person hasnt sent payment left and even though I will get a final value credit, it still cost me again to list it. And it wasnt cheap to list it there in the first place. Overstock auctions are becoming a favorable site for me now but the community isnt as large as ebay so its a trade off.

The only really good advice I can offer the OP is to buy a quality aftermarket or OEM battery. DO NOT buy a japanese cell or generic battery as they will not hold a charge over a long period of time.

Thank you for the responses, I just purchased on eBay. Grabbed the OEM battery too, thank you for the advise. Don't know what I'll do with 3 stylus', maybe use two as mini chopsticks or something? Too bad they can't just split them up and sell you 1 stylus in a $0.41 envelope.:???:

If you dont SLIGHTLY bend them, they eventually will fall out and you will find the other quite useful. Believe me when I say slightly bend one so it will stay sng and secure.

I bought A new OEM battery for 13.88 total after shipping then from another seller I bought a 1gb MiniSD card for 13.55. Prices include shipping. Ebay is good, you just have to look around. They have these stylus's with a built in ballpoint pen. Are those worth throwing money away on? or are they just another cheap chinse product?

I bought everything for the 6700 including the 6700 itself on E-bay. I did buy the pen stylus because my regular stylus fell out and lost it. I did notice though that the pen stylus are tighter and I have not lost one yet. Oh yea, the pen does work.

Okay great. I liked the pen and stylus idea. What I don't understand is that on some they brag that you can take the pointy end off and use it as a reset tip. Isn't the pointy end SUPPOSED to be used for the screen and reset button anyways? Why would you need another one?

On many styluses the stylus tip is NOT large enough for a reset (not the case on the 6700) but thats why they mention it

Ebay rocks for cell acc's IGNORE shipping. ADD cost plus shipping THATS your price. I just bought (all oem) 5 regular batteries for $23 an extended battery for $14 (dolt no back) so another extended battery for $12 with a back :-) (all prices include shipping) I also got that nice Red Leather case for like $11 shipped.

I am eying the aluminum case for "transport storage" i protecting it when not in use.

I am also eyeing the $12 touch screen replacement since mine has some scratches on it. Has anyone done this? How hard is it and whats my chances of fubarring it :-) I have done LCD replacements on my zodiac successfully but it did not have a slider to confuse things.

I want a spare LCD as a just in case but I can almost buy another phone for just a bit more than the replacement screen. Wait long enough you can get one for $80 its $50 for the screen. So I will probably just wait and get another phone or two as backups.

I do need to get some more styli but am out of cash right now :-)

I WANT some holster clips (the plastic ones) but damn there $12 each !! I am used to pay $4-$6 a pop !! I need 4 of them (I cut off the clip and hard mount them inside each car. Get in the car pop it in place. I can get charging cradles for LESS so I may go that route and leave a space battery in that extra charging slot of each one :-)

Thing is its not so "easy" to slide them onto those and I DO NOT like the use the USB port as the cradle mount point. I am betting this is why the USB ports die. IE not designed to be used like that. I prefer separate hard mount contacts for the electrical and if I get brave enough I may hack it and add some to save my USB port.
