Sprint PPC6700 WM6 text message issues
 

I installed apache wm6 and in the text message itself, where the name or number of the person I'm texting, it shows the first word of the text, so I have no clue who's texting me. I have gone through everything I can think of to change it. What am I to do??

When the phone is going through a hardreset and when it says "customizing in 3 seconds" something to that effect do a soft reset, and it should loads up fine! Dont worry if you mess it up....just do another hardrest and do over.

Remember to backup your contacts...you will lose them on a hardreset.

There has been many thread about SMS goof ups when upgrading to wm6....this seems to be the fix.

i went through this a lot with my 6700...every time i did something to change it in fact!! i finally realized that what Unknown Zone told you is absouletly correct. as soon as it says customizing in 3 seconds, and you do the soft reset your problem will go away.

I just recently acquired my phone. It has been flashed to cricket and I am having the same problem.. Is there anything that I can do to fix it.
