Insurance?

Would you recomend getting insurance on the PPC-6700?
Do you have it on your PPC-6700?

T.E.P. is a must. I have been in at least 3 situations where I wished that I had it. Regular insurance is good as long as you get a good tech to take a look at it. Some techs can be @$$3$ though.

The slightest bit of sweat or maybe you took your phone into the bathroom with you when you were taking a shower, and they will enter into your account that you had water damage.

I had some idiot tech do this to me, then I took it to another store where the techs actually cared about their customer and they were able to repair it with no problem.

Anyway, I would not have had to worry about where to take it if I had T.E.P. on my phone, since that plan covers water-damage.

But to answer your question, some kind of insurance is a MUST with this phone... Too much can go wrong.

I have insurance on all my phones, I wuoldnt get for a low end phone but for a 5-600 phone is a must IMO.

No insurance on a $500 phone that's being discontinued is a no brainer. The 6700 seems to be pretty durable from what I've seen so far. That said without the touchscreen its basically worthless.Too many what ifs and don't forget Mr Murphy's law.$7 a month is a cheap price to know in your mind who cares what happens to the phone,I'm not buying the next one.

I had a SPH-i500 before I got my PPC-6700, I got my PPC, as a replacement for my SPH, from insurance. Insurance is a must on these phones.

Absolutely. Less then 7 weeks old, I drop it. Works fine, except the toggle doesn't work. One phone call, and it's replaced with a new one. Whether Sprint or any other, it'd cost lots of bucks to repair a new phone, or lots of bucks to buy a new one.

Without a doubt. I have it on my phone... Wouldn't think about not having it.

JackSchitt28 02-01-2007 03:15 PM

yeah it is crazy not having insurance on a phone like this. would you not insure your vehicle if you had the option (probably so) you would be paying for repairs on your car just like you will buying a new phone out of your pocket. insurance is cheap considering how much the phone costs.

This should have been a poll :D

Yes, get insurance.

I'm on my 3rd Verizon 6700. I don't have insurance I just call them up and they send me a new one when it breaks =).
