Activesync Multiple Partnerships Problem

Hi folks - I recently upgraded to AKU 3.3 but had this problem with 2.2 as well. I sync my 6700 with my home and laptop computers and can no longer sync calendars, contacts and tasks with both computers. when I try to select, for example, Contacts under both partnerships, I am told "you can only synchronize contacts with one source...". Has anyone had this problem? I uninstalled Activesync 4.5 beta 2 and reinstalled 4.2 to see if that would help but no go.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Yes I have seen that - I take it to mean you cannot sync with 2 different sources, so I don't - it was giving me that message with the stock Sprint rom, so it's not really anything to do with the ROM version, it's probably more to do with your two PCs/Outlooks.

I have not seen this problem at all. The only thing that I have seen is when I attempt to Sync with more than 2 machines. There is a limitation to ActiveSync that will only allow you to Sync with 2 sources. I do get prompted on which one I want to delete if I try to sync to a 3rd source.

I have no problem with mine at all. I Sync Contacts, Calendar, Favorites, etc. but I don't sync mail or files.

It might be an issue with mail, but from my experiences I am able to Sync with 2 computers (Work and Home) without a problem.

i just recently updated to 3.3 from 2.2... had the problem sync'g just like what you had, but after i did a reset (soft) AND disabled my zonealarm (not sure if this really was an issue... will have to check later), my activesync 4.2 detected and began sync'g no probs.

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately even when I disable NOD32's modules - particularly those relating to monitoring outlook, internet connection and word documents - it's still no go. I have no firewall running (I am behind a hardware firewall). Prior to updating to the 2.2 rom, this was never an issue. I was hoping that the 3.3 would fix it. :(

Have you tried un checking the boxes for calender contacts etc... than see if you can explore using ActiveSync. After that try checking one box at a time see where the problem starts. Also try changing USB ports and restarting your PC. Hope this helps
