Sprint Power vison.... and just vision....
what is the difference between Power vision and Vision?
I just got a PPC-6700 and I was supposed to get free unlimited PV with it.... however when I check my account online... i just have unlimited Vision???? what's going on? |
for a 6700 the only difference between Vision and Power Vision is download speeds in available markets
Vision = average download/upload speeds of 50-70kbps peak of 144kpbs Power Vision = Average Download of 400-700kpbs Upload of 50-70kpbs and peak of approx 3 Mbps. Other phones with spring will have differences like Sprint TV, On Demand, etc but the 6700 is only download speeds |
Right, for the 6700 you want the $15 PV "access" only (unless you plan on doing the picture mail hack - you need to add picture mail if you want to use it)

It's not misleading its an outright lie.My old vision was unlimited with unlimited text for $10.When i first asked about the 6700 I was told I had to have the power vision which was $15 and then another $15 for unlimited texts. It took me 6 calls to customer care before I got somebody to understand there was no diffrence except speed, and ev-do isn't available here.I wonder how many people just said ok and are paying the higher price for vision?
edited for spelling |
I didn't just say okay, and talked to 10 different reps to try and keep my u/l Vison. They insisted my phone would only work on PV even though I knew different. As a matter of fact it worked that way for the first few days until they turned it off. They would not let me us internet unless I had PV. I couldn't convince them otherwise.

Wow, i am one of those that just said ok and I used to work for sprint back in 2002 at the call center. I didnt care at the time cos I am still not paying full price for anything. My bill per month is about $70 including tax. I have 1000 mins, free night & weekends, unlimited vision, unlimited text messages, first incoming min free, ERP, (dont need pic mail, its free now). This is a nice retention plan, plus another 30% in monthly discounts. Also no contracts, so they beg me if I say I want to cancel and try their best to satisfy my needs. :D

I've had a regular grandfathered Vision plan on my 6700 for almost a year now - and in the meantime I'm made lots of changes to my plan (with other lines). All they ever say is "nice plan on that 6700" and laugh. When I first switched from the 6600 I did an esn swap - didn't get a rebate - and just told them all I wanted was an esn swap. The first csr said it couldn't be done - so I told them to forget it then. The second csr looked at my plan and said she understood why I wouldn't want to change, made the switch, and that's been it. - sheureka
