According to Jason Langridge of MS, AKU 3.0 and above already includes the DST fixes (maybe someone who already has AKU 3 installed can verify).

The way I usually do something like this is to use a registry editor and search for key words. In your case you would search for Power or Backlight. The backlight search should lead you to HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight.

The entries I posted were new, but perhaps the fix was somewhere else. What day is it supposed to change and what was the original DST day? I would imagine I could just change the date on the phone and test this.

Under "settings", "power" "advanced", there is an option to turn off the device after 1 minute on battery and separate option under AC. I can't find this reference in the registry. Can someone please point me in the right direction.

Colonel- Thanks for your help...I was able to export the registry for my backlight settings and am adding them to my registry cab which will certainly help make all of these hard resets more tolerable when playing with custom roms.

In the past, DST switch (Spring Forward) happened on the first Sunday in April at 2am. So for this year that would have been April 8th. But due to the new law it will now change on the second Sunday in March at 2am. That would be March 11th.

So you could test this in a ROM where you haven't installed the entries from that cab file by setting the date/time to 1:59am on April 8th 2007 to see if DST activates. If it does then Mr. Langridge was wrong and AKU 3 doesn't include the needed fixes.

But if the time doesn't change, then try setting it to March 11th 2007 @ 1:59am and see what happens. If it changes then we don't need fix.

Changes on March 11th and not on April 8th. So I guess no fix is needed.

Do a search for Power and you will come to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Power
