Best Place To Buy?
Ok,
I am looking at getting a PPC-6700 (Sprint's model # for it) after I get my taxes done (which I will do ASAP after I get my W2 forms). Where is the best place to go to buy one? I'd prefer to buy a NIB one and I don't want to get into a bidding war on e-bay for one. I know I could get one on e-bay for $0.99, but it would be $200.99 after I drop my Fusic from my plan. My gf's daughter is way to young to give a phone to (4) and there is no one else I would give my phone too. I suppose it would be cheapest to get one on e-bay for $0.99, but I don't want to get a new phone number yet again........... |
go to www.craigslist.org and search around in your area. lots of them on there at reasonable prices. some are nib, and some are gently used. i got mine there.

i'm gonna call my aunt and see when her contract expires. if nothing else, i can see if she'd like my number.

You can use her upgrade. I have pulled this a couple of times.
Go to the Sprint store, have them do an ESN swap of her phone to your number. Add the new phone to her account. Do another ESN swap to swap the 2 phones back to their proper numbers. (i.e. - the new phone to your account and her phone back to her number.) Hope this makes sense and I hope this helps you solve your issue. |

I ordered it today. I have to keep it on a $35.00 plan or higher for a month (450 minutes), after that I can switch its number to the 4th line on my family plan, and do an ESN swap to keep my current number. For that I'll end up taking my Fusic off the plan, giving it to my mom, and putting a Nokia 6165i on the new number (I promised my mother my Fusic a while ago).
Now I just need to buy a MiniSD card for it. I'm just looking at a 2GB card right now, I don't need much more. |
