screen bleeding

ok so i last night everything was working fine, no problems. take the phone out of my pocket couple hours later and the screen is all messed up. its all pastel colored and it seems like if you put a painting in the rain, anything on the screen has a trail running down like its bleeding. nothing was pressing on the screen, it was just in my pocket like it usually is. everything works like it should, buttons, touchscreen. this is driving me crazy. heres some pictures of what the screen looks like now

First, try to realign the screen and see if that helps. Then you might have to try a hard reset. If it is under warranty you might have to take it to a store. If you have insurance, you could "lose" it. Check out ppctechs.com, they can fix screens.

If you have the sprint $6 insurance that kind of issue should be covered w/o a deductable as long as it decent looked dropped. A tech will defiantly want you to do a hard reset on it first. Also you might want to try an older or official (if your not using one) ROM. If your going to take it in to be looked at make sure to put the official rom back on it (again if your using an unofficial)

Oh, passing thought just before i posted, try the microsoft remote connect software that allows you to view your screen on your sync PC, if you see the problem on the PC side than its software related if on the PPC is doing it then its more likely to be hardware only.

edit: looking at your screen looks it looks like the backlight is out of wack and may fail soon (ive seen laptops with this kind of issue) if you take it in the sun and let the backlight go out does the screen still show the issue?

What have you done? Did you try a hard reset? Try holding down the power button to get the backlight back on. Did you accidentally put it in bootloader mode? Does it say Serial or USB on a blank, gray screen?

im not too sure what happened. but now if i try and hold the power button down, the back light doesnt turn back on. tired a hard reset and the backlight comes back on and it says hit y or n and i hit yes, clearing now comes up for like 2 seconds then the screen goes back to just being blank with no blacklight and just v1.00 on the bottom. nothing else on the while screen
