Viewing pim backup files? Anyone have a broken apache for sale?

The usb connector broke off the main board when I got fudgin rear ended by a dominoes pizza driver. I tried soldering it back on but I inevitably failed and did what any frustrated man working on electronics would do, Snapped the damned thing in half and threw it down the hallway. I need a new main board and serial number for sprint on the cheap with a large side of ASAP. Also is there any way to read contacts off of the pim backup file I have? I tried opening in with notepapd but its a bunch of gibberish.

Moderators: I know this probably isnt the place to ask for stuff to buy but I feel like it is more likely I will find someone who has what I need in this forum. If you feel that i am a nimrod go forth and move this thread.

There is no way to read the PIM file without loading it on a working phone.

Here is a sprint 6700 with a broken screen but everthing else is fine. Its on ebay, $4.99 + $5.99 to ship. 11 1/2 hours with ZERO bids and 100% feedback. You cant get any better than that.

If you transfer your PIM file to a pc and open it up in Notepad you will be able to view your contacts and phone numbers. It's going to look a little crazy but with some patience you will be able to make sense of it.

I tried it for fun...and you are correct...it took alittle time but it was not to bad, you can see the names and numbers...etc...of the contacts.
