Any new dialers that fix the ** break issue?
Since I upgraded to a WM6 build (robmayer B7 5.2.1908) for the Apache/6700, there is no way to press the star (*) key twice without the phone screen creating "p" or "w" characters. The double-star string is a necessity to get into typical office voice mail systems.
I have seen references in existing threads to the "** break" issue being experienced by new dialers. Anyone create an updated dialer-only install that fixes this issue? Otherwise, quite glad I upgraded to WM6. Thanks for the build, robmayer. Thanks. |

I use the mobile vista dialer. I just tried it and I can dial **.
Might work like that on all the dialer skins that arent able to redial or call 911... |

Thanks. That is right - I did install the PPC_Visuals_Mobile Vista... dialer and the star-key issues are non-existent.

Re: Any new dialers that fix the ** break issue?
I think I will try the eTen dialer after all. The Windows Vista dialer is making my phone crash when I push "mute" or "notes" during a call. Complete crash - call stays active but key presses are ignored. The Notes function is critical for jotting down a number while checking voice mail.

yah its a little buggy when you install in from the cab. Its so much better if you put it in the kitchen as an oem.
Im not sure what version you were using but I checked out that post again the other day and he has a new version. Not sure if that would help if you like the appearance of it. Its definatly one of the nicest dialer Ive ever seen. |
