i need help upgrading to wm6 on vista

i cooked my rom and it told me to plug in my device in bootloader mode and i did, then i get a 101 error saying it cant find my device. another thread said i have to use activesyn 4.5 for it to work.. but it wont let me install activesync because i have vista and i have to use "windows mobile device center" can anyone help me?

is there another way to load the rom?

ADD: it will work if i use the helmi rom thats already made, but it wont work with the wm6 kitchen....
