Has anyone had this problem?

This is a problem with the Pictures & Videos program after upgrading to AKU 3.3. If you look earlier in this thread, you will see the fix. It involves copying two .dll files out of the \Windows\OEM\ folder into the \Windows folder. I cannot remember the name of the .dll files, but I believe they are the only two that are in the OEM folder.

Hmm. I think if you read through this thread, you will find that someone attached the two files in question. I would post mine, except I forgot my mobile at home today and I am at work right now. :(

Are you sure that you are checking in the right place. Also, make sure show all files options is checked as these are dll files (system files) which means windows will hide them to protect them. the files are in \windows\OEM. names are mfcu80 and msvc80 i think. Use total commander or use active sync to explore the mobile and do the changes.

yea IU found it.. I editied my post above.. because I found it when I used TOTAL COMMANDER... my bad.

I'm on a business trip and set a wake-up alarm yesterday. It went off this morning but I couldn't shut it off...there was no 'dismiss' button. The only way to turn it off was to change the date then reset the phone.

Anyone else notice this?

WhiteBlazer01 02-21-2007 01:58 PM

- My phone app closes after 10 seconds
- I can't load the contacts app
- I can't sync contacts (Activesync gives me an error - SUPPORT CODE: 80070057)
- Pressing Call Status turns off the headset.
- Ending a call is difficult. Red button does nothing until 5 sec later, headset hangup doesn't work.

Any fixes?

Thanks! :)

WhiteBlazer01: Standard question, partly due to your comments regarding the contacts application. Have you performed a hard reset?

I did have a few other problems earlier, and someone suggested doing a hard reset (I remember seeing it in the install instructions, but I forgot). So I did the hard reset, and everything worked fine - except contact syncronization.

If this helps,

I'm using WIndows Media Center Edition x32
Outlook 2003
Activesync 4.5 (I also tried 4.2 with no success)
Cradle sync (everything syncs except contacts)
USB sync (everything syncs except contacts)
Bluetooth sync (everything syncs except contacts)
I've tried creating a new activesync profile (many times) with no success.

Please help with this, as I would like to keep the new ROM, but I need these contacts for my business.

Thank you!

That's very strange, since I've not had any problems whatsoever syncing contacts. Admittedly, I've had some odd behaviour with ActiveSync that some other people have mentioned (where it takes ActiveSync about 5-10 minutes to decide that it's completed synchronizing, even after it's synchronized all of the individual components), but I've not had any issues with it not synchronizing contacts at all....
