Hello!
Yes, there is software that can do this.
Google AEButton Plus and have a look at the freeware version. I know that the full version can but I haven't taken a look at the freeware version because I own the full product. But, I am pretty sure that the freeware version can do this.
Simply select the button and click Unmap or something like that.

^^ big thanks to this guy. the trail lets you disable it.

up down left right its at the bottom. go to the one you want. click where it says do not touch and pull down the menu and unbind. click save and exit.



maybe sticky this for people with broken joysticks.

it doesn't disable the center in wm6 and it only disables th keyboard buttons

You said you tried it and it didn't work? Both the freeware version and the trial?
