Maybe a dumb question but

I my landlord lives next to me and we made a deal to get DSL and split the bill. But he wants to run it to his house and setup a wireless router and I am supposed to tap into that with my PC to get online. I dont have anything to pick that up except my xv6700. can I tether my 6700 to my PC to browse that way? Or should I just buy something else to pick that signal up if so what should I buy that one would recomend?.

Thanks

dude... no question is dumb at all, but if i were you, i'd try PDAnet via WiFi after i pick up the signal with the 6700. anything else you got for me, please feel free to send a PM, and i'll see what i can do for ya.

What about purchasing a wifi adapter for the pc so that you don't have to use your phone everytime you want to connect to the net? Plus, this would let you have an "always-on" connection (even when you're not home) versus having to have your ppc act as an adapter.

This was the setup I had with my neighbor down the block...I had a "WiFi Repeater" bought a "Directional Antenna" to point at his house...and at the Repeater End I bought a 7db "Omni Antenna" to amp the signal inside the house and all was good.

Like stated on the above post by djheir buy a "Wifi Adapter/Card" maybe one with a "Directional Antenna" for best signal reception and if your having poor signal intercept...try the setup I had.

I agree, I would go and buy a USB WiFi adapter for my PC. It would be much easier and then you could have both devices using WiFi. Ebay has some great deals.
