EVDO Rev A?
 

Hi, All--

I searched, but was unable to find an answer to a question that I have;

Is the Apache able to utilize or is it compliant with EVDO-Rev A?

If so, is there a specific radio that is needed in order to use it?

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

Nope. Won't work.

The general opinion is that Rev-A requires different hardware... however.... many spoke heresy of WM6, A2DP, and Wifi routed internet sharing on the apache and it happened... so who knows, maybe it can happen... we live in a software based world where hardware is barely a limitation anymore... change some codec, switch compression algorithms, baud rates(who remembers 300 on a c64?) and you never know!

Everybody said SDHC support was hardware based too, but look how that turned out. You never know, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
