Joystick pressed in!

The black joystick button is permanently pressed in the down state. So everytime i touch something on my screen it things its the hold-and-click, not just the regular click.

As you can see this would be very frustrating. I'm over warranty and don't feel like spending $50 to get the same phone. Is there anything you think I could do to fix this. I'm pretty tech savy and I figure if the warrantly is already done I don't mind opening my phone.

Try going to a Sprint Store. Not an authorized dealer, but a corporate dealer. They will replace the phone for free on the spot. You might even get lucky and get a free upgrade since most stores no longer carry the 6700.

Since when will Sprint replace a phone (for free) when your warranty is already gone?

i have Verizon, hence the XV.

Oh and I called two Verizon stores (not authorized dealers) and they both said it would be $50 for the same phone. I wish I could get a Mogul upgrade for $50 :(
