Alright I guess this is the problem

:protest: Well my last topic was started because I didn't know it was the radio.
I guess the kid that had it before me must've tried to upgrade it or something, but all I got is the radio, I've tried everything else to get it to work. and I even paid another 80 dollars to have a store look at it, the guy claims he does circuit migration. but anyways, IF there is a way, to get this to work, can someone tell me? I mean there should be a way to skip the radio from loading on a reset or boot... It keeps coming up with the same thing and even when I tried to upgrade the radio, the red text still came up with the new version.

So PLEASE, Anyone, Can I fix it? Yes or no :(

What is the sympom you have? List what you have tried, and the result, in as much detail as possible.

Ok, When my friend gave me it, it was already on, and showed the "Sprint" logo and red text under it.
the text reads this exactly not including the dashes:
----------------------------
H/W=2 P SNAZ-40306
M=12 R 1.41.00
U=4 D 3.50.00 WWE
----------------------------
and its at the bottom of the screen, I've done a lot to it especially called sprint about it when I first got it. but I've reset it and everything, I've tried all the tricks here and there. It turns on, shows the logo, and 2 seconds the red text comes up. Should I take a picture of it? :(

I leave it on too and it still stays in the same spot, stuck on the logo and red text.
I left it on my desk for an hour, screen backlight still on and everything, it freezes, same thing on the screen. From what I know before I called sprint was its failing to boot. something isn't registering, its bricked, or its the radio, but I hope its not bricked. this is the first time I got one of these and probably my last since I don't want to use ebay anymore.
If there is a solution PLEASE let me know.

Have you tried flashing it? I know you said you tried to upgrade the radio, but that's not quite the same as reflashing the rom.

Ga. Medic wrote an excellent tutorial on how to flash the 6700. it is here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=14818

If you can get into boot loader mode and can flash the rom I think you will be fine.

ionblade 02-09-2008 03:43 AM

lol, thats what I said to begin with, I've flashed it numerous times already. the extended rom and the ce rom, nothing, different startup screen, but still the same thing, red text on boot, and when I called sprint the guy told me about the bootloader, which I know is ver 2.02. Nothing is working :( i thought there was a way to use a memory card to fix it.

lol. sorry. I'm probably about to ask a couple more stupid questions (I did read the other thread though, so I'm a little more informed).

Did you try the mtty.exe trick? Instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=304408

and here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=radio

Also, maybe try re-downgrading the bootloader ???

I have a feeling you're going to tell me you've done all these things already, but atleast I can go to sleep tonight knowing I've tried.
