keyboard like the htc touch

i imagine the keyboard that the htc touch has on it, where each key shares two letters (like the physical keyboard of the blackberry pearl) is an application.

does anyone know where i can find said app?

It's called TouchPal. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use:

You can also try Polen's Vista Keyboard found below:

someone replied to an email i had about it, and they directed me to this keyboard.

i think that's the actual one that's on the touch. i'll check out those other two keyboards and see which of the three i like the most. i was trying to use a small iphone-like keyboard, but that was awful. i am also too lazy to customize the PocketCM keyboard myself.

I did several weeks of looking around a while back for the same thing. I have been using this HTC Touch Keyboard + Keypad for several months now. I tried the keyboards other were suggesting but they didn't work out very well. For example TouchPal is a touch and slide to select the key you are trying typing. However the 6700's bezel gets in the way. The other one takes up too much space and gets in the way of what you are typing. Anyway, you need to install both of the cabs in the zip file I posted. You will need to run the Default_IM_WM5 application and select the HTC keyboard to be the default keyboard or your phone wont select the HTC keyboard.

While you can use the "touch and slide" feature of TouchPal, it also has a fantastic predictive typing ability. I can type out long and complex emails by just tapping each letter. Only rarely does it think I'm typing a different word. Give it a shot and I think you'll find that it's a great product.
