Splash Screen

This is a modified version of some utils and batch file over on buzzdev originally for Universal but adapted to the Apache. Updates the initial splash over activesync with only soft reset required. Worked fine for me over several iterations, but as always, the usual caveat's apply.

Alternatively, you could open a command prompt (still have to install the cab file and establish an activesync connection) at the location you extract the files to and type the following (no quotes):

To read (from device to file backup.nb):
"pdocread.exe 0x3f00000 0x25800 backup.nb"

To write (from file spcs.nb to device):
"pdocwrite.exe spcs.nb 0x3f00000 0x25800"

Reboot:
"preboot.exe"

Doesn't work for me, even after following the readme. I'm never prompted to reboot the device.

Awesome! I hate the verizon splash screen, as well as the Telcom from the 2.2 So here is my New Splash screen

How do you create a custom spalsh.nb file? I only see how to use the included carrier splash screens.

edit: Oops, I didnt see the image converter.

Simply load a jpg, gif, bmp into the included nb_image_converter_859_418.exe program, then save as an NB file to the same directory as where you extracted all the other stuff in the archive...

So the format would be

pdocwrite.exe YOURFILENAME.nb 0x3f00000 0x25800
