Stylus won't go in; causes key presses
 

This is a cross-post from another thread, but that one is getting buried and I thought I would start a new thread because this is a perplexing problem.

ok so here's a new one. a few weeks ago, randomly, my stylus decided to stop going in all the way. now there's maybe 1/4 a centimeter that sticks up. and when it is pressed all the way down, it springs back up, to the point where i can almost shoot my stylus out of the phone. as amusing as that is, here is the really weird part: if i have any sort of text input open on the phone, when i press the stylus all the way in, i get random combinations of k's x's and z's. for example, if i had been typing this on my 6700 and pressed the stylus in, i would get something like this: kzxkzxxxkzzxkzx. yep, weird.

shameless bump. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

sounds like a spring or what could be considered a "spring" is broken in the keyboard part of the ppc so probably what is happening is when you push the stylus in it pushes that "tab or spring" that's broken which causes the keystrokes.to come up. take it to a store and have it looked at would be my suggestion
