Ppc 6700 Text Message Problem
 

I Recently Upgraded My 6700 To Wm6 And Since I Installed It My Text Is Messed Up. When I Recieve A Message The First Word Of The Message Shows Up Where The Name Should Be N I Dont Know Who's Sending Me Messages.
Please Help!!!

i was having the same problem. There are multipule other posts where people are having the same problem. I seardhed keyword SMS on the home page. What I got from the posts was that you hard reset the phone. This worked for me. Others had mentioned doing a soft reset right before your carrier installs its own cab files after installing WM6. Hope this helps. Also if anyone figures out how to do this with out a hard reset let me know i have friends that refuse to hard reset.

Best bet is to buil your own ROM from the kitchen PPCGEEKS has marvelously put together...

Other option is to kill it just as it begins doing the customizations. Soft reset, and youll be good to go.

I have flashed to wm6 and did the kitchen and I am getting this too now does anyone have a fix for it?

Make sure you are doing a hard reset after you flash. Also do not let carrier customizations run, Reset the phone before they load. The customizations should not attempt to run if you are using the kitchen.
