ActiveSync via wifi?
 

Is there a way to use wifi to ActiveSync the 6700 to a laptop? I can transfer files but I cant figure out how to Sync. Can someone give me a step by step right up. This is wifi Laptop to PPC only not through a home network

I think its possble but I haven't ever done it. I see if I can't figure it out, and post instructions.

I am not so sure it is possible any more... well put it this way, in the latest Active Sync I believe they took it out due to corporate security issues. I will try to find the link I read that in.

This is correct about no wifi...the reason given, I believe, had to do with corporate security issues (which is fast becoming MS's bread and butter with WM5).

There was talk that it might come back in a later version. Considering technically AS is "dead" and being replaced in Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center* (more of a cosmetic facelift than an overhaul at this point), it'll be interesting to see what happens.

*This update is already availabe to Vista beta 2 users via Win Update
