Napster To-Go Device

I dont know if anyone has posted info on this yet, but I have been subscribing to a napster to go account for about a year now. I got my wife an mp3 player last year and started using napster to go to add music to her mp3 player and about 4 months ago i realized that it recognizes my PPC 6700 as a napster to go mobile device. there are 2 different napster accounts, the napster to go account like I have, and a regular napster account. you cant burn your music to a cd with napster to go unless you pay .99 cents per song. i pay $14.99 a month for unlimited downloads. i think it is reasonable and i continue to get my other "free" albums as well. if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I did this with the Urge music service, and it worked fairly well, but sometimes I have problems where I tried to transfer an entire CD and only half the songs would transfer and some seemed to be untransferable until I redownloaded from Urge so it would update the license.

Since upgrading to the Telecom AKU 2.2 ROM I have been unable to get the Storage Card to show up in Windows Media Player 11, so I could transfer the subscription music. I hope this is fixed when I use the Alltel AKU 2.2 ROM.

i have never encountered a problem using napster with my ppc 6700. i just have to remember to click on storage card instead of main memory when i xfer my music. it was pure dumb luck that i realized it worked with my phone. i had always used it for her mp3 player like i said before, and one day, i had my ppc synched up when i opened napster to listen to some music and when it loaded, it said a compatible device was connected. i was shocked and have been in love with it ever since.

What size memory card do you have in your 6700?

right now i have a 512mb mini sd, and i am constantly having to delete a few songs here and there when i load other items, but.... i have a 2 gb mini sd card on it's way from newegg.com was $30.66 altogether with shipping and all, so I should be able to put everything on there and then some.

How are you transferring your songs to your phone? When I hook my 6700 up, the Napster application doesn't recognize the phone like it does my MP3 player.

I have the Napster to Go account and the software version 3.8.0.9

Thanks.

Never mind. I guess it was just moving slowly. Cool think is that when a call comes in it will pause your song and start it up for you when the call is over.

I got my napster to go account because I have a MP3 player jack in the mustang....I thought it was silly that it wouldn't work with the 6700 as per their compatiable list...Guess I should have just tried it.

Thanks for the info! This is awesome!

no problem. just remember that you have to first sync your ppc, let it do all the active sync stuff, then open napster and let it load. dont click anything and in time on the bottom right side of the napster program, it will say "device connected". hope this helps you all in the future.
