My OEM 2 GB mini SD does not show on my PPC-6700

Ok, I know for a fact that the card is good. Tested on another phone *non 6700* in the Sprint store, the card shows up just fine. I tested the Sprint employee's card (way under 2GB, but I honestly didn't check the size) on my phone and it showed up just fine. That leaves me to believe that for some reason my phone can't see 2GB cards? Now, I also know that others have used their 2GB cards successfully so what gives? Is it possible that there is some firmware that I am missing? I have the latest updates that I know of. (I even redid the ROM update just incase something screwed up the first time) Any advice would be most welcome!

nope 2gb cards work just fine and ur not missing any software. Im not 100 percent sure what going on there, but I will have a look at that model card and see if i cant find any info and get back with ya.
EDIT: couldnt find such a maker OEM, what the name brand?

It's a generic card.. no actual name brand (part of me wants to go buy a SanDisk card and try it, but I hate spending more money or a card that I know works elsewhere)

have you tried reformating it in a PC first?

personally I think its the card, anyone u know got a ppc-6700? if so try it in their phone, to rule out the phone as the probelm. or give the reformat a try.

Have you looked at File Explorer under Storage Card? You should have that folder visible with a card icon running through the middle of the folder icon.

Have you done a soft reset with the card in the PPC? I have had times when the card will come out with the phone on I put it back in and the PPC wont recognize the cord. It just wont show up not in file explorer. pic and video not any where. After a soft reset it comes back.

The guy at the Sprint store formatted it on his phone while I was there and it still doesn't show. I have soft reset, hard reset and done the ROM upgrade with the card in place and still no go. I will try the Sprint store again today to see if they have another 6700 I can try it in to see if it is the phone that doesn't like the card. If it doesn't show up there either, then the card doesn't like the phone. Funny thing is, I have the adapter to make it a full sized SD card, and when I put it in my camera I can see it just fine.

That is the whole issue, it doesn't show a storage card icon because it doesn't see the card as being there.

Checked back at the store, it doesn't work in any 6700. Lesson learned.. buy name brand I suppose. Anyone need a mini SD for a camera?
