ActiveSync not connecting to 6700 and rndismpx.sys error??
 

hello all, my ppc & activesync work great on my desktop but im having a problem with it on the laptop. i keep getting a hardware not found error and it telling me i need this file rndismpx.sys. my laptop runs SP1 and for some reason SP2 wont take on it. the file was not on my XPSP1 disk for the laptop but i did find it on the desktops XPSP2 disk. but still no go.

any suggestions. it wasn't that big of a deal until my power cord went on out the desktop and im really needing the laptop to be able to have activesync for back up.

also, is there any alternative to ActiveSync that can be used?

thats what i was going to say, you could try downloading an older version of Activesync, not too old tho. maybe 3.x or something like that. to download different activesyncs, i believe you can go to www.UTstarcom.com or do a google search for Activesync. actually you might want to go to www.microsoft.com and do a search for Activesync on there, they have all that archived.
