using Cell phone bluetooth as ISP
Ok my g/f family is in a area that sprint doesnt work AT ALL.
I have a razor with bluetooth and i want to use that for internet for the PPC6700 I can connect them together and it does make the razor dial out. on my ppc screen i get a window asking for a IP address. I have tried the ntelos ip i get from a website i visit from but then i get invalis username / password. so im connecting to the net but not getting past authintacating.. any ideas here |
probably has something to do with the razor not assigning it an IP address.. just me rambling on!
How about trying to share bluetooth internet from Razor to PPC after connecting with Razor? I don't know anything about Razor just throwing out some ideas... By the way does your GF have one of the WM6 Kitchen Roms? From my experience if you need help you need to post as much info about your PPC as possible so these guys can help ya out, if they do! |
its my ppc and yes i have os6 on it. I can say its nothing to do with that. its as you said the ip isnt getting assigned. Im thinking it needs the signon name for ntelos to access their network

when i first bought my 6700 i did that a lot with a motorola e815 nd i still do with several devices. after pairing completes just create a new connection with the ISP number to dial, username and password. u have to make sure ur razr has data access. it may be an IP problem but i still suggest u double check the razr first, test dialup connection with another device.

Isn't the razr restricted to WAP only unless you have the data package (not web package)? I think may be related to the proxy, and asking you for a username and password to get the public IP you are requesting.

could be that . ill check today thanks
