Phone cuts off after a few seconds...
 

Hi, this is my first post I'm fairly new to smartphones. I have a UTStarcom 6700 on TELUS and my problem is that when I make or receive a call within 5 seconds to 2 minutes into the call either the line goes dead or I hear a busy signal and I can no longer hear the person I'm talking to and they can't hear me. It still shows me connected. I even installed helmi_C ROM update to WM6 but the problem remains. Any help would be greatly appreciated otherwise I have a brick that's costing me $50 a month...Thanks

Thanks for the help, I read through the post, updated my radio version to 1.41 and my first call lasted 3:30 before I shut it off. I ran around all happy for about an hour (my wife calling me a geek ;) ) until I tried another couple calls that lasted about 30 secs before the busy signal.

So if anyone has any other ideas please let me know I'll try anything

Well for anyone with a similar problem the update to 1.41 radio did help quite a bit (averaging over a minute talk time now) and also when I get the busy signal if I shake the phone around a little bit (yes you read correctly:drunken:) it comes back and I can continue to talk. Although not ideal its working for now enough that I can use it. if anyone knows what causes this please let me know.
