Radio Update Problem
 

Well it starts off like this; I did a hard reset to the device and when it came back the phone said it had no signal and the phone app would not even open. Soft reset of the device shows no radio is installed. Boot screen on the bottom right shows

P(blank)
R (blank)
D 3.12.30 WWE

I try to update the radio using any of the packages on the ftp and everyone of them say "This Rom Update utility is not for your device". I can flash roms on there all day but not the radio. Any help you guys could give would be alot of help right now.

UPDATE i got the device to boot and the phone is running normal it just says no signal. Period. Does not even try. Im pretty sure this is a radio issue but cant find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

It certainly sounds like you wiped out your ROM and somehow only re-flashed the OS ROM.

Some of the Radio ROMs will come with the universal update utility which does not work on all handset bootloader versions.

Try this:

Take the radio image radio_.nbf

Drop it into the ROM update folder you used to flash the other OS ROM (your operating system rom). Clearly the RUU app which came with the OS ROM worked for you and you can use it to flash the radio too.

Well i tried to reflash and its telling me country ID ERROR

Researched this problem someone said to take out the sd card, i did and im now looking at a screen that says updating radio but no progress is being made on it 0% for about 10 mins now

Well after 45 mins of waiting its still at 0% screen says updating radio also at 0%.

Any other ideas?

do you use the right carrier on your kitchen ?
try to remove the battery for more than 15 minutes ? have you done it ?
do you using ruim card ?

No i dont even know what a ruim card is, im running a sprint rom and thats whats on it. And yes i have removed the battery for more than 15 mins. I dont know what else to do. The phone functions just fine just no radio and i cant flash one on there for some reason. Im at a stand still, the only thing its good for now is pocket sand :(

Try flashing a stock carrier rom (one with a radio and OS .nbf).
