Apache WiFi/Networking

Merry Christmas!

I got my Apache connected to the internet thru my WiFi LAN here at home.
What I can't seem to figure out is how to set it up to talk to the other computers in the network.

The manual I downloaded is no help.

Any networking gooroos feel like helpin' a fella out?

This is what i use for my Titan
Ill just assume you ran the Network Wizard on your Machines already
1. Allow sharing on the specific folders or entire machines on the network
Right-Click>Sharing & Security>Share this folder on the network
2. Turn on wifi
3. Then use HTC Network Plugin:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...ugin-v1-0.html
To map whatever map drives on the network ur gonna be accessing
New>Browse>Network Neighborhood
Itll search the network for the shared folders from Step 1
When the list of folders shows up tap & hold one of them and select "Map Drive"
Do that for however many folders or machines on the network you need access to
4. Go to File explorer and youll notice a "Network" folder in your My Device directory
Inside will be the folders or machines that you mapped in Step 3

Happy Holidays

Ok, I see the NETWORK folder, but I don't see an HTC Network config utility program anywhere. I installed the CAB.......

I have shared foles on the network, and as the network is up and running, I haven't run the setup wizard.

BTW, I still wasn't able to connect to any WPA-enabled networks with the latest kitchen. Was there some kind of trick/caveat to do it?

I found it........the network config utility is in the "control panel."
Gotta tell us nOOb's things like that!

Update

Flashed a rom I cooked up with the GSFinder+ application, and now I am able to map network drives from the WiFi LAN.
:headbang:

Now if I could just figure out why this thing is giving me an "error code 37. Misc error setting up mobile IP" message when I shut the WiFi interface off I'd be all set.

I dont believe WPA is supported yet under the new kitchen. You might want to drop them a note under the bug thread and ask.

This happens with my data connection every so often. I have not figured out why.

Guys,
WPA-PSK is supported by the kitchen and works fine for mine (12/17/07 version). You may have a conflict in your installed apps.

Error Code 37 has been the topic of a few threads here lately, mostly referring back to threads on Howard Forums and PDAPhonehome where it was fully discussed. There is a registry tweak to make the bubble go away, but it doesn't stop the error from happening (something related to EVDO rejecting the phone's handshake credentials). Searching here and the other boards will help. The main thread on pdaphonehome was by fitbryan. Good luck.
