Kinda New User

Hello everyone I am newer - sorta.
I just needed to get set in the right direction. I did read the forum
stickies. I am left a little jaded by all the information. In the past,
I had used some of these ROM's on a work phone, which worked
pretty well. I have my own xv6700 now, and just have not had
the time until now to start customizing it.

I made a provision to start with the Verizon AKU update

- Current specs are:

Rom Version / 3.14.30 WWE
Rom Date / 06/21/07
Radio Version/ 1.43.00

I'd appreciate getting steered in the right direction. It looks I need
to downgrade the boot loader? Then I can move forward if i'm not
mistaken. I would like to bump up the processor speed, use, wm6,
and tether my data. I appreciate any help - thanks.

go to the Sub catagory for UPGRADES. Use the kitchen. it sounds daunting but it is really easy. good luck. I am by no means a power user and found it really easy.

I agree, there is a really easy step by step method of "cooking" your own ROMS that is really simple to use...
You can also look undet Open FTP and see programs you might want to add or remove...
