Ultimate memory tweak (.cab included)
 

I did a simple experiment by taking something that works, into something that works much better. I am talking about Glyphcache. the magic number is 655360. This number here has changed my ppc into a supercharged ppc. The file system has become lightning fast from main to memory card with the exception of 'windows' directory. There is some loading, but it has been cut down by a good margin. no matter what program, switching from landscape to portrait is instant. programs load almost instant, settings loads instant. I did this yesterday and kept shut until I knew this really work and yes, it clearly does.

I use a cab hack to change the numbers you may or may not need to soft reset after regedit. You will know immediately browsing throughout your phone if you need to or not.

Is there a cab file that does this. I would love to have it. I really don't want to change the registry manually.

Are there any negative side affects to making this change? Doesn't this cause your ppc to have less memory because of this hack?

And what of the battery life? Does it drain quite quickly after this hack?

I myself have not notice nothing but good from this hack. I read somewhere that there is trade off, memory for speed. I could tell no difference other than my ppc was smooth and faster. Battery life did not take a hit.

yea theres a side effect u will lose some memory with this hack, I myself tried it in the past and didn't notice much of a change. So I choice not to add this to ApacheHax simply cuz my main memory is precious. :P
