HTC Today Screen (Weather issue)
 

I have installed Helmi's version on WM6 and loved it. A few hickups caused me to almost downgrade to WM5, then I discovered a scaled down version with all the extra's missing. That works like a champ, it did till I tried the recent Beta port of HTC Cube and Touch.

After a complete re-install of the ROM the system is back up and running great, but on the today screen the WEATHER is no longer getting information sent to it. I tried another ROM re-install and I only get this message...

"unable to retrieve data for selected city. Select here to retry" is all it says. I tried some other major cities and the same appears.

Anyone else have this issue recently? Any way to fix this?:drunken:

Yes, everyone had it. On the upgrades forum there is already a thread on this topic that has the answer. It's on the first page of the Upgrades forum and is titled something like, "HTC weather no longer updating"

u have to change HKey_Local_Machine/software/HTC/HTCHome/weather/status
value data from 1 to 2

........not sure iw it will work though mine had same error did that now it works fine
