custom rom question

Hello, and thanks for the great forum!

I was hoping to get an answer to this:

Does flashing any PPC-6700 with a rom build by the Helmi Kitchen enable me to use a handset from any carrier? Meaning if I flash say a 6700 that was originally from Verizon can I effectively change it to a Sprint phone provided I choose the Sprint OEMs in the Kitchen?

Thanks-

Not generally. There are some identifiers buried deeper in the phone that tie it to one network or another, so a network transfer is not as simple as just flashing a new OS (which is all the kitchen does.) The big networks (Verizon and Sprint) both appear on the way to at least illuminating a migration path that in the past has been rather shady.
